Every month in Killer Instinct, players battle it out to reach the Top 32 Killers spots, only available to those worthy and dedicated enough to reach such a rank. If you’re unfamiliar with leagues, I’ll explain it like this:
-Players compete in Ranked Leagues to try and attain placement in the “Killer” category -From those in the Killer category, the top 32 are highlighted to show their triumphant feat – the best of the best -At the end of the month the top 32 killers are awarded PRO STARS and immortalized in a separate monthly leaderboard! On the first of each month the leaderboard resets and a brand new battle for the top 32 killers begins! PRO STARS never go away and stack for every month you are in the top 32 at the time of reset! Here’s a quick snapshot of the Top 15 for the month of August, just to give you an idea of how it shaped up.
GamerLCD is hosting a tournament for those Top 32 folks who at the end of each month still see their names atop the leaderboards. As a matter of fact, there are already 5 planned instances of Top 32 Tournaments scheduled for action. The dates are as follows:
-September 5th – Top 32 Killers Tournament for those atop the August leaderboards – $300 pot split among the Top 3 -October 3rd – Top 32 Killers Tournament for those atop the September leaderboards – $300 pot split among the Top 3 -November 7th – Top 32 Killers Tournament for those atop the October leaderboards – $300 pot split among the Top 3 -December 5th – Top 32 Killers Tournament for those atop the November leaderboards – $300 pot split among the Top 3 -January 2nd – Top 32 Killers Tournament for those atop the December leaderboards – $600 pot split among the Top 3
You may have noticed that there is a cash prize for those who finish in the top 3 of this tournament. This is course is thanks to all the amazing effort by you, the community, when it came to creating that Community Fund by way or purchasing Shadow Jago this past Spring. Major props to everyone.
